Wink Really...?

Yes- in JFK the person who packed the luggage and is flying does indeed bring their bag to the belt. If you needed assistance I am sure you could have paid a curbside attendant to help you. I don't understand why you are so outraged by this? I agree that the agent at the counter must normally have a sore back - isn't the max limit 50lbs? Lets see ... 50lbs x 400 people a day = workers comp claims if you ask me.... a conveyor belt that you the customer must use instead sounds like a brilliant idea from the airline.
