Default FLIGHT ATTENDANT RAGE

I have never been harassed by a flight attendant like I was today , Feb 11th 2007, on Flight # 1683 from St Louis to Dallas Fort Worth. At app. 1:45 pm I entered the airplane, as I was about to get in my seat #11D, there was a young woman in front of me moving luggage in the upper bin so she could fit in her luggage before she sat in seat # 12D. A flight attendant then ran from the back of the plane, very stressed, physically and emotionally, screaming at this young girl. I asked the flight attendant why she was so mean, she then snapped into a rage and began threatening me. I became the line of fire for this woman, she then attacked me verbally pointing her finger in my face. She kept pacing and accusing me of "starting with her". A young gentleman arrived to sit in the seat next to me, so I asked him if this was his seat, he said yes, so I stood up and next thing I know the flight attendant came charging at me "You want to prolong this mam, then I am going to get you kicked off the plane" . I have no idea where this rage came from. At this point I am terrified because she is so angry and stressed. I was then escorted off the plane, spoken to , then let back on. The flight attendant lied and said I used profanitites. She was threatening me, not the other way around. I have called a lawyer and I have 6 witnesses. I cried the entire way home with no apology from the airline, no comfort. There was one Flight Attendant who was very nice to me. The first mentioned flight attendant was harassing me.

This treatment from AA fight attendants needs to stop!!!! She even yelled at me in the airport as she got off the plane. I just think that AA should take responsibility for haveing rude, stressed out, flight attendants who flex thier "power" when they are stressed out to humilate, harass, and scream at passengers who pay money to fly "the friendly skies".

How can we stop this? I feel so violated for the way I was treated. It just isn't fair.

Brenda,

I travel 200 days a year and there is no culture left...I have no hope this will change- since the law protects the airlines. you always have to come up with your part of the deal - the airline only in best case. Based on laws made mainly by politicians and airline lobbyists. The way I do it is get their names and try to get them fired- mostly to set a signal. It sound harsh but your example shows well enough that its desperate. Get names. Also of witnesses. GET THEM FIRED- and they will be fired if they get two complaints like yours...

Fly safe
M

Brenda,

On a flight yesterday Miami to LAX one of the flight attendents was delivering a cup of water to the elderly woman seated in front of me. This after we sat at the gate for an hour with no air conditioning. She passed up the woman, realized her error after several rows and returned. She then commented "sorry, didn't recognize you, you all look alike to me after a while!" I think this was the first and only time I've heard an honest comment from an AA employee.

We were served with a Formal Warning by a Flight Attendant flight 848 from Dallas to Newark at 7:00pm June 4th 2011. Her Name tag read Lee and apron said Josephine. While at the terminal as the safety presentation was conducted, on the right side of the plane (row 11) My fiance and i observed bags being placed on the plane. We noticed what we thought was the remainder of our bags not being placed on the plane. We asked the flight attendant (Lee) if there could be a problem and she confidentally said we were mistaken. She even joked and said,"Bobby were you able to read the tag on the bag?" and she laughed. I expressed my concern again and expressed our discomfort with her reaction and comments. The plane left the terminal and we proceeded to fly to Newark. As the service cart was passing our row, Lee very loudly pointed me out to the other flight attendant working with the service cart (while pointing at me),"thats Bobby, Thats Bobby" smiling and laughing. My fiance was alarmed at Lee pointing me out. Once Lee made it to our row to serve a beverage, we declined and my fiance (Gennifer Stearns) communicated to Lee, we did not appreciate her loud comments directed at Babak. Gennifer was polite and reserved. Lee immediately was upset and said," I will nip this in the bud". We observed Lee speaking on the phone and had white and pink forms in her hand. Once she finished with the call, she informed me the Captain had asked her to serve me (Babak) with a formal warning and said since 9/11 my behavior was not to be tolerated.
