I have to disagree with you. These days, most travel agencies do include passenger contact when making a reservation. And all online agencies include the passenger telephone contact because the online agency does NOT want to be contacted for things like schedule changes.
The point is though, whether the telephone number is provided or not, the airlines do not call passengers for irregular operations.
