I assume you do that for all your purchases do you Gromit. If you book tickets for a concert, I assume you book back up tickets in case the theatre cancel your tickets.

I'm sure that a refund was an option in this case if the airline had been able to provide acceptable re-accommodation. In your example of a canceled concert, which has happened to me, they offer refunds as well. Where's the difference?
