Forget BBB, I would consult a lawyer. United's position is completely unsustainable. If they made a risk assessment that you may have an infectious disease which was transmittable and removed you from the flight, then fair enough. However, they totally undermined their own position by then allowing you to fly on a subsequent flight. If they believed you were infectious then they had no business allowing you to fly later, unless they had insisted on you being medically examined and cleared to fly.

I am interested in the remarkable ability of the flight attendant to diagnose your "pneumonia" without examining you or taking an X-Ray. This FA should be working in healthcare, saving lives and money, as clearly no medical tests are necessary when this FA is around.
