Default Cancelled flights, Pilot absend, bad food for a price...what else is left?

Flights from SEATTLE to Chicago (#572 May4th - #1377 May6th)

AA cancelled ^ AM flight 572 and I was told previous Chicago bound flight at midnight was also cancelled. They put me in the afternoon 3:45 flight which finally took off after 5 PM. At the same time United, US Air etc were flying to Chicago while AA was giving us this excuse of bad weather in Chicago. For 3:45 PM flight they told us they can not take off because a storm is developing in Chicago while other airlines were leaving for the same destination.

Coming back again 8:45 PM flight on may 6th was 2 hours late because their pilot was in Boston, waiting for a flight to Chicago!!! Why we do not have any control on these Airlines? Millions of very valuable hours are wasted. I missed a whole day of my conference. And in the name of bad weather (including minor showers and drizzles) they can get away with anything.

The $10 sandwich I got from AA was so soggy and cold I could not swallow it.
