Flying from Baku to Durban via Dubai I was shocked at the service I received from Emirates airline. When my ticket was issued in Baku I was assured that I can take extra luggage as I am returning home after my contract in Azerbaijan. This meant that I took extra luggage. The first part of my journey was good as FlyDubai charged me $140 for the extra luggage. I was shocked and appalled by the $735 fee Emirates sprung on me. I wasnt given any alternatives or wasnt pre warned about this fee. My complaint isnt about paying for extra luggage it is about almost paying for an extra ticket. I think this is shocking and I will definitely take this to the relevant authorities and newspapers as I feel this is appaling to place customers in this position. I am not at all happy and this has placed a huge negative feeling at the start of my holiday!
