My disabled children were treated less than human
On a flight from Anchorage to Fort Lauderdale, my family was treated horribly. I am a mother of special needs children. I bought 8 tickets.
I had gotten prior permission to pre board because my son with autism
doesn't do well with being crowded. I also have 3 other special
children and I was the only adult flying with the kids. The lady at the
gate sent me and my son thru and then stopped the rest of my kids. She
loudly stated that only "the autistic one" gets to preboard. This left
my other special needs kids without their mother or an adult. She then
loudly complained to everyone there that there was no reason to preboard
my family. Remember that I had gotten prior permission to preboard. I
am so very offended that my son was called "the autistic one". That is
not his name. I am also extremely offended that my other children were
left alone and freaked out. The boarding lady sent a bunch of other
people thru and held my family back. I tried to turn around to get them
and was left with a giant crowd. I seated my son and went back to get
the other kids. I was called a f***ing b**ch by a man because he was so
offended that I was going against the flow of people. Seriously, what
was I suppose to do. I have never been treated so rudely, I have never
been called such a horrible name. I am offended by United airlines with
all my heart. How dare an airline treat my special family with such
disrespect. I am so very offended. An apology is not enough.
