Default Baggage missing

We Family travelled from

EDINBURGH TO LONDON FLIGHT NO.BA1455 date 15th July 2017 departure 5.30 pm.

Where we on the request of British Airways gave our Cabin baggage to the Personnel at the boarding gate at edinburgh.

AND A CONNECTING FLIGHT from
LONDON TO MUMBAI FLIGHT NO. BA 199 ON 15TH JULY.

On arrival at Mumbai we were told our baggage is not on the flight and we filled a form.

On 17th i received a message and mail stating OUR BAGGAGE IS LOCATED At HEATHROW and it is on its way to Mumbai And it will reach Mumbai Chatrapati Shivaji on 17th late night.

Today it is 20th and no updates.

We have everything in the bag that we purchased as souvenirs to be given to family and friends back home.

Now when i called customer care he says the Tag has come out and repeatedly asked me each and every item in the baggage. Which i described to the best we could remember. Is it being sent from Heathrow to Mumbai by Ship or Cycle i am yet to ascertain its been 4 days. They said it will arrive on 17th. I strobgly feel its done purposely.

Please Help.
