United was just hit with a hefty fine from the DOT because their telephone agents weren't giving complete disclosure of codeshare segments. It's not too much of a stretch that the AA and AS agents missed it too however we're talking about UA's outsourced agents versus US based agents with respect to AA and AS. They should have known better.

It's good to know the OP was being proactive about the situation so s/he would show up at the right terminal. Remember the post about the guy who went to JFK having no clue who was operating his flight? By the time he figured it out he missed it!
