It is time the public knew the truth about the extent of the culture of corruption that has recently been revealed at Southwest Airlines concerning refusal to inspect and repair defective planes. Along with the meanspirited redneck jokesters they hire as flight attendants, they have also caused a great deal of trouble for fat people, nonwhites (how many nonwhites do you see working on a SW plane?), people who dont smell right to them, and people who insist upon complaining about ruined baggage (Southwest blames it all on the Fed inspectors and makes it nearly impossible to file real complaints, thus enabling the cynical SW management to claim, as they always do, that they receive the least complaints of any airline.) Yes. it might be true since they make it so difficult to complain and then recategorize your complaint so it isnt a complaint at all.
Did you know that SW does not take wheeled baggage either? That was the position of Hiram Harrison, a SW rep the airline flew out from TexASS to answer a small claims suit filed by an elderly gentleman in Sacramento who claimed that when on a flight to make a connection to New Zealand for medical care, SW baggage handlers had ripped out the entire handle and wheel mechanism from his high quality Eagle Creek bag, rendering it impossible to close -- belongings spilling out. The man alleged that SW employees at LAX had tried to deny it happened and offered no help to him to transfer to the international section of the airport or anything. And then when the man finally returned and tried to get SW to at least replace the bag, snotty SW reps simply buried him with bureaucratic makework. The man finally sued. But a special judge was appointed simply to hear this case alone, a notably senile man named William Gallagher. Subsequent complaints about this judge, who, of course, ruled in the favor of SW, indicate Southwest racketeered his appearance. Everyone in the courtroom hearing this case was appalled at the lies the Southwest rep, Hiram Harrison, told and the fact judge William Gallagher accepted all of Harrison's lies. And, yes, Southwest's Harrison claimed, "Southwest Airlines no longer accepts wheeled baggage because it gets caught in the conveyor belts." This brought guffaws from everyone in the room except the special judge William Gallagher appointed to hear the case. Southwest's Gary Kelly and Herb Kelleher have chosen to spend more money fighting lawsuits filed by people SW has insulted than it would have cost simply to make them whole again. So before you even think about complaining to Southwest, realize you are going to have to deal with a corporation that is built upon racism, lies, and denial. Hey, its Texas after all, home of the honest GW Bush, Enron, etc. |
