Sent them this on 10 Oct 2013:
As a Family of 4 we were due to fly from Newcastle to Paris Charles de Gaulle for a Holiday at Disneyland Paris. Our scheduled flight was AF1059, scheduled to fly at 11:50 on 29 September 2013. This flight was cancelled. We were then given seats on the next flight, AF1159, scheduled to fly at 16:55 on 29 September 2013, although the flight didn’t fly until around 17:15. As the delay was over 5 hours, I believe that according to The European Union Travel Directive we are entitled to compensation for delays of over 5 hours. Phoned on 24 Oct 2013 and again on 18th Nov 2013. Thy claim they are assessing my Complaint, after over 40 days after I issued it!!! |
