Default Credit w/ CoAir due to accident - still can't travel

So I booked a flight July 24, 2008 and had an accident Aug. 2, 2008. I cancelled the flight and got a credit. I'm still unable to walk and in debt from the accident. I can't travel for both reasons.

I've spoken with three separate people and none of them are willing to extend my credit. They say I have to book by July 24 even though I cannot walk to take the trip.

Who has any tips on how I can deal with this? It's $1,200. That's too much to walk away from.

I think they are being unreasonable.

Thanks,

Rob.
