We booked three tickets last November 2007 and the printed confirmation from Thai showed an a 340-500 aircraft would be operating the non stop flight. The only problem is that the A340-500 cannot fly from LAX to BKK non stop, so everyone scammed with Thai's advertising saying it flies LAX Bankok nonstop daily is surpirsed to find on check in that they are actually going to Osaka for refueleing and then on to Bankok. This route takes much longer. We paid extra for a non stop flight but didnt get it. Tal,king to Thai aircrew this happens a lot and they do not have enough A340-600 aircraft on the fleet to operate the advertised non stop flights.

Thai know that they are scamming people but they deliberately stonewall. This seems to be the top Management policy in Bangkok.

If you book this or other Thai flights be very clear about the route and stopovers and ask pouinted questions. Take names of the staff that tell you things.

Also the food for diabetics was composed of pineapple, bread, potatoes and rice - all full of strach and sugar. Just what you want to get hyperglycemic. Thai dont care and the lead cabin attendant told me as much.

did they offer you a direct flight, or a non-stop flight, there is a difference between the two. maybe you got it confused?
