Let it be known far and wide, NEVER NEVER EVER by a ticket from or fly Delta airlines! They overbook their flights be 16 people or more!!! Our flight out of JFK was delayed 5x today, and then cancelled. And we had paid for our seats over month ago, and checked in online the night before. It was supposed to leave at 3:50 pm, and it is now 3 am, and I am still at JFK and now can't get a replacement ticket home after THEY cancelled my flight. AND they won't give us back our luggage! We boarded and then deplaned TWICE this evening, only to spend over two hours on the tarmack the second time, only to then come back to the gate. Apparently all this took place because they hadn't arranged for enough staffing for the flight, and then they waited so long that the staff "timed out" per FAA rules since they had been sitting there waiting so long. NOT THE FIRST TIME, Delta. NOT THE FIRST TIME. You had your chances with me and they are now permanently expired! I would not fly Delta ever again for a million bucks. PLEASE share this with your friends who travel and save them from this epic nightmare. Thx.
