Customer Service Have you had any problems with US Airways' Customer Service? Have US Airways employees treated you poorly?

Angry second class citizen on US Airways flight 87

Booked a trip to Maui through United and they sold off my outbound to US Airways. Wanted to check in this morning with a US Airways confirmation number and was told to call their 800 number. Background info, when we booked the trip and found out that United had sold our outbound to us airways we contacted us airways direct to upgrade to 1st class. we were told 24 hours prior to the flight go on line and you will be able to upgrade if seats are available. I called the night before just to make sure all would go smooth in the morning. I was told by their rep yes all can be taken care of within 24 hours of the flight. this morning I called to check-in and upgrade and was told because they meaning us airways didn't originate the ticket i would have to wait the morning of the flight to make changes and to get seat assignments. To no avail she wasn't going to help me in any way and basicilly I was on my own to wait in line with the other herd of people to not only see if we can upgrade but just to get a seat assignment for tickets we already purchased. That is totally unacceptable. This is not the first time I was shoved around by United and US Airways and this will be the last. If I can't fly Southwest or Delta I am not going.
