Mean Customer Service rep spitefully cancels flight
I'm very disappointed in USAirways customer service. I booked a flight for my father whose English is not very good. I made sure to stay on the phone with him when he got in line to check in and told him to ask someone if he was in the correct line. He was told by the rep that he was and would be helped shortly. When he finally got to the front to check in he was told that his seat had been sold to another passenger.
They then rebooked him for the following day. When my mother called to get a flight for today instead, she was finally greeted rudely by another USAirways representative. After being denied without any sort of remorse my mother hang up angrily. When I called to try again I was told that the newer flight had been canceled and there were no other flights. The funny thing was my mother never asked for the cancelation nor was it ever confirmed.
I spoke with many reps to request a refund or new flight with no success. After speaking to several reps and supervisors the last one finally said "It's not my problem. If you want to pay another $225 we can get you another flight otherwise I can't help you." I explained to her that I had already struggled to pay for the original $515 ticket that you sold to someone else and couldn't afford to pay the change fees on top and she said "Then there's nothing I can do for you. You won't get any further than me. I'm going to let you go now."
My whole family is devastated. It's just not right how these big airlines do this to people.
