Poor Service
I was on flight 1475 Dallas/ Fort Worth (DFW) to Las Vegas (LAS) on August 5, 2012 02:00 PM. We arrived a little early only to find there was no gate. We were told it would be a few minutes.
We waited well over an hour to get to the gate. There were no (0) notifications and there were no (0) planes anywhere to be seen. All the other gates were empty. I tried to ask about what happened to a person at the gate. I talked to Wayne Carpenter. Wayne treated me very poorly. In fact, he did not want to talk to me and kept asking the people behind me if they needed help before he would talk to me. I asked for his supervisor's name but he would not give it to me. He later said it was Diane but gave no last name. I pulled out my phone to start taking notes and Wayne started yelling at me that if I videotaped him and posted to Youtube.com he would sue me. He started yelling it over and over at me which was very alarming. He left the desk and ran out the side security door. He left me and the other passengers just standing there. I waited at least 10 minutes thinking he had left to get his mystery supervisor. He never came back. I finally left because I didn't want Wayne to ruin any more of my vacation.
Way to go American Airlines and the Las Vegas Airport! What a quality experience I had and you handled it so well. I'm being sarcastic if you couldn't tell.
Since, I have no expectations that either of you will do anything about this, I will continue to seek other airline opportunities. If you look at my mileage with American over the last 10 months it has dropped dramatically. And, it will continue to drop.
Also, after this last experience at the Las Vegas airport, I think I will just go somewhere else to spend my money. There are lots of better places to help the economy than Las Vegas.
Best of luck to both of you!
PS. I wonder where I can post these comments?
