Changing flights
We booked a holiday to Australia through a travel agent who organised our business flights and hotels, whilst we were in Australia my husbands sister passed away, we tried to rearrange our flights for an earlier return expecting to pay an administration fee. Qantas would said they could not change the flights as they said they did not know how much we had paid for our seats as we went through an agent, they said we would have to purchase new tickets. We could not afford to pay for business class again, therefore, had to pay another £1,500 for economy flights home. We spoke to the travel agent who was shocked that they would not change the tickets as she made sure that we had transferable tickets when we booked our holiday, she also said that she had been in the travel business for 19 years and never heard anything like this before. She contacted Qantas on our behalf, to complain, and also spoke to the Civil Aviation who said we had a viable complaint but they could not deal with it, where do we go from here?
