So, sitting at the airport in Myrtle Beach, waiting for a pilot to fly our plane. Yes, we are not delayed because of weather, or mechanical issues. We're delayed because they don't have a pilot. We now will not get into Boston until 2:30AM at best. What has Spirit done for customer service? Nothing! Our luggage was 4 pounds overweight, subject to a $25 additional fee. Did they waive that for our inconvenience for their stupid mistake? Hell no! This is our last flight with Spirit. Shame on them.

Did they say why no pilot was available? Sick call, crew rest requirements, injury?

No explanation....it appears this has been a common occurrence here as the gentleman at the food joint in the airport said they've had to stay open late because of Spirit not getting their flights out till 1AM or later this week.

It appears they screwed two flights tonight... Ours and a flight to Atlantic City, which just boarded.
