We are expats in Asia and the whole family has been flying on KLM back&forth Europe-Asia for almost 2 decades, and we are happy that we recently gave up on that carrier as we tried Etihad. We just didn't realise what we were missing: more leg and seat space, 20x much better food, less "cattle" feel about the trip and, most importantly a much more attractive loyalty program. We had been very disappointed with the KLM program as it became stricter over the years and we felt many times betrayed by those changes.
