Awful Company
Where to start? My wife and I took a 20-day trip to Spain and Portugal from Panama, everything was fine on the way there, but the problems were on internal flights and on the way back. First, our flight was delayed from Madrid to Lisbon, there was no correct information about the delay time, there was no one at the boarding gate, on the Iberia app the information was that the flight was on time. It took more than two hours to wait.
It was on the way back from Lisbon to Panama that the real problems started, our flight had a stop in Madrid and even though we purchased the Optimal fare, there were no more free seats 24 hours before the flight and they put us in separate seats. Our connection was 12 hours at night, we slept in a hotel, when boarding, we made it clear that we had a long connection and we didn't want to check our hand luggage.
The employees said that the luggage compartment was full and that it was not possible. But it would be easy to get our suitcase back. But we later discovered that it was empty and we had to wait more than 2 hours (late at night) to get our suitcase back, with clothes, medicines, etc. The staff didn't even know where our suitcase was.
Now about the return flight, we paid (and quite expensively) for a flight with sockets and USB to charge our cell phone, wifi to work and none of that was available. The plane was old, the entertainment screen didn't work, it was cramped and smelly. In other words, the worst flight I've ever taken in terms of comfort. The flight was from another company and operated by Iberia.
Iberia definitely did not fulfill our purchase, made our trip more difficult and will no longer be a travel option for me.
