Incompetent Team - United Airlines and Silver Airlines
Purchased for my wife first class, round-trip ticket from United Airlines (UAL); Dulles International (IAD) to Florida Southwest International (RSW) and return. Flight to RSW was OK. Upon checking in at Silver Airlines counter at RSW for return connecting flight to Orlando, was required to pay $25 "baggage fee" for the one checked bag that was brought from IAD. Asked Silver Airlines representative about first class passengers being provided one free checked bag, she replied that that was between me and UAL. Silver Airlines boarding pass did not include "pre-checked" annotation as did flights from IAD to RSW. Resulting delay at RSW TSA check point caused my wife missing flight to Orlando. When I attempted to upload a copy of the credit card receipt for the $25 baggage fee to the UAL customer service web site, the site would not accept the 595 KB gif file, or anyother thype file. Bottom lines: 1) A first class ticket from United Airlines is no more convenient than stand-by tourist, but a lot more expensive, 2) Silver Airlines is totally incompetent.
