Amongst the worst customer service I have ever experienced
AA does not seem to have a corporate culture of genuinely caring about their customers. Even though flights and/or equipment have had no changes, they arbitrarily change seats and offer no reasonable recourse to seat passengers in the original seats they have had for some time. Calling customer service is laughable. They do not provide the sort of customer service anyone would expect from a company that is in a service industry. Knowing that they are trying to fill every available seat without regard to the ongoing pandemic seems to extend to all aspects of their company policies. Will certainly keep this horrible experience in mind when making future travel plans and recommend others do as well.
