Cool Passenger name issues

I had a booking (for 4 persons) in ey304, etihad flight from kuwait to kochi via abudhabi on 2nd july. The check-in / boarding staff refused to issue boarding passes because our names were written with first name and middle name first letter and last name. First name and last name were all correct and only added the first letter of middle name, on what basis they refused to issue the boarding pass, till now we don't understand. Because we travelled in different flights in same way and never faced such an issue. And the behaviour of staff was so arrogant, while we were in such a tension, they were discussing match between brazil vs.mexico. Even when i complained etihad through their twitter they were asking me why you give the middle name letter.
Please anyone booking in etihad, please take care about or its better avoid etihad for your journey.
