Brussels Airlines double charging for impossible flight!
On Dec 1st 2023, I booked a ticket w Brussels Airlines including flights LH1087/LH580/MS835 departing Marseille, France on 9th Dec 2023 for Kampala, Uganda, and returning on Feb 15, 2024 on flights SN455/SN3597, for which I never got a confirmation. Brussels now said the email address I entered was wrong but when I called their customer service 2 days after making my booking and asked their rep to repeat the email address which the confirmation was supposedly sent to, he gave me my correct email address and told me to "be patient". But I never got a confirmation, and so I bought another ticket for the same destination for 10th Dec 2023 (one day later) which worked fine, but now they want me to pay for both tickets even though 1) I nvr got a confirmation for the Dec 9th booking and 2) I could have never used both tkts since they were just one day apart and the outgoing flights last more than 15 hours, so never enough time to come back and fly off again !!
In a few words, Brussels Airlines is acting like a greedy scoundrel, ignoring the fact that 1) these tickets could never have been both used since their schedules completely overlapped, 2) I acted in good faith, and 3) I and my family have flown with them ever since they came into existence in 2002 (after SABENA died). All I can say is : Well done for bad publicity, Brussels, I guarantee you will get some !!
