COMPLAINT: 8 Month Flight Change Charing $200.00 per Person

I booked a flight Last Year 2017 For a Flight on August 5th 2018. I needed to change my flight to August 4th 2018 one day before original reservation. Delta's Unreasonable Policy is to do this change for my family of 4 it will cost me $200.00 per person for a family of 4 resulting in an $800.00 charge for making a change on a flight that is 8 months away. The reason for the change was a concerned I had regarding a cruise Vacation on the day of August 5th 2018 the day of my flight. After hearing about more than possible changes to the flight on that day I was being proactive to go the day before my cruise to avoid such issues as flight cancellations and over booking. I informed them of my concerned to have a flight problem on the same day as my cruise. They disregarded my concerns of changing my flight 8 months in advance to avoid a flight cancellation for that day. They were uncooperative to my concerns actually told me it is quite unfair due to the fact of the change being made for a flight in 8 month. This came Directly from a representative of DELTA. The reservation was made through Orbitz who also REFUSED to help me on the DELTA policy. When speaking with DELTA rep. I also was told ORBITZ can waive the fee but don't want to so they have you call DELTA ho will not change their policy. I called ORBITZ back and spoke with a supervisor that was advised by DELTA to do. The supervisor states they understand also like DELTA days but there is NOTHING THEY CAN DO!!!!! So my Complaint is not only with DELTA double dipping on people for making a reasonable change 8 months in ADVANCED BUT AS WELL AS ORBITZ NOT TAKING CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMER CHANGES THAT ARE EXTREMELY VALID CHANGES. ORBITZ IS NO HELP IF YOU BOOK A FLIGHT THROUGH THEM BECAUSE THERE IS NO PROTECTION TO THEIR CUSTOMERS..... DO NOT USE ORBITZ AT ALL!!!!!
