Jetblue; a miserable airline!
On July 16, 2022 I was to return to Westchester County, NY Ecuador on an 11:30pm Jetblue flight. Unfortunately, I was denied boarding because someone decided I was unfit to travel. I was defamed without proof!! Afterward, I was removed from the boarding area without instruction. I sat for a minute or two, then I got up to go to the check in area, I fell and hurt my right knee. Thankfully, someone behind helped me the rest of the way and helped me to sit. I then called Jetblue, and was told that I had requested not to travel, and that I wanted my money put in a travel credit bank; this was false! I then had to contact American Airlines, and booked the only available flight, which had a layover in Miami, I paid $740 for a 7am flight on July 17, 2022.
I finally, arrived at JFK around 11pm, and had a taxi service waiting to take me to the White Plains Hospital. There I tested positive for Covid, and confirmed that I had fractured my tibia and fibula, and hospitalized for 6 days. I was told that I will need a total knee replacement, but first my tibia must heal.
Also, I had purchased travel insurance with Allianz, and one document they require is a "Common Carrier Statement of Delay or Cancellation", which Jetblue has not provided me.
All this because Jetblue reserves the right to deny boarding if they observe your behavior and decide you are unfit to travel. fyi... After passing through immigration ALONE, I had a couple of drinks and a sandwich, then sat and fell asleep.
