Default Abusive Continental Employee in San Antonio Texas

Hi
I'm trying to get the email or direct phone number of a VP or Director level person at Continental Customer Service office.
I'm writing this as I sit by myself in a hotel room in Mexico City; I'm here over the weekend for work (three week business trip); today is my wedding anniversary; so my wife was to fly from Minneapolis to Mexico City. The American Airline flight that we originally booked was cancel (Minneapolis to Dallas leg) so she was rebook on a Continental flight going
Minneapolis Houston San Antonio Texas Mexico City.
The Houston - San Antonio Texas Continental flight was delayed for mechanical reasons ; so my wife asked at the counter in Houston to be booked in another flight since she thought that the Houston - San Antonio will not make it in time for her connection San Antonio Mexico City. But the Continental employee in Houston insisted that she was going to be ok; She took the flight and of course the San Antonio Mexico City flight had already left; so as she saw herself stranded late on a Friday night in San Antonio, she asked the Continental employee, Mr Mike Gomez, for help. This guy was very abusive telling her among other things there is no f... way Continental was responsible for her being stranded in San Antonio and that Continental couldnt pay for a hotel or rebook her on another flight. This guy was so abusive that she started crying...and after other passengers noticed this...he finally agreed to help her...saying "are you happy that we can help you" They finally book her on a USD50 dollar a night Best Western. Needless to say this is probably the worst anniversary we have had thanks to a Continental abusive employee.
Please give me an email or direct phone number so I can personally place my complaint with Continental

Rgds

I am just trying to figure this out but your wife was rebooked from Minneapolis - Houston - San Antonio - Mexico.

Now I'm a frequent flyer to mexico on continental and I usually take the Newark direct, but sometimes if the flights are full I connect to Houston. as far as I'm aware there would be no need to go to San Antonio since Houston is their hub and you can fly to mexico from there. So I would say either that's very, VERY poor rebooking on AA's part, or there's something not quite right.

If your wife was going to San Antonio to get to Mexico on Continental, then that would put her right back into Houston (I checked).... what the......

So it sucks about the anniversary, but before you complain about this you need to figure out the full itinerary and find out why AA would book something so very odd.

Default Continental: As good as it gets!

American Air could have been even worse! An American Air agent might have responded to your wife's crying by calling the cops, then banning her for life from flying on American.

A letter to Continental, if you're lucky, will NOT be responded to with an impassioned defense of that agent's nasty-a** attitude. You MIGHT even get some worthless travel vouchers (you can fly to Omaha at 5:00 AM on a Wednesday in February, or something like that!)

If you can afford it, make sure your return ticket is fully refundable. That way the impact of jerks like that agent is minimized. If you can't get a Northwest/Delta non-stop flight back to Minneapolis, try to get a flight where you clear US Customs at Houston Intercontinental. Avoid Miami at all costs!

Good luck, and happly belated anniversary!

Are you sure it was a Continental employee? Continental doesn't have non-stop service from San Antonio (SAT) to Mexico City (MEX). I was confused reading your post because Continental does have non-stop service from Houston (IAH) to MEX. I was wondering why she flew from MSP to IAH then to SAT when had she been on a continental flight she should have stopped in IAH to connect to MEX.

Check your story and re-post more details please. Thank you.

Actually, I did some checking. The only airlines with non-stop service from SAT to MEX are Mexicana and AeroMexico.

A bit of an exaggeration?

Continental only issues dollar value vouchers. There are no restrictions on them other than they expire after one year. You can apply towards any fare. If the cheapest happens to be at 5 AM then so be it!

Besides, I think it's quite clear we're not talking about Continental here anyway.

Hi all;
Thanks for your reply; indeed it was a Continental flight from Houston to San Antonio Texas (the flight that was delayed); the flight from San Antonio to Mexico City is in Mexicana... so my wife was trying to get some help from CONTINENTAL since it was the CONTINENTAL flight that was delayed -causing my wife to miss her Mexicana connection to Mexico City. She was trying to get help from Continental; since Mexicana told her that Continental was in fault for them delaying the flight. Good point of why American Airlines in the first place would book her in that flight -apparently there was not a lot of availability.
Also she repeateadly told the CONTINENTAL folks in Houston that she felt she was not going to make the connection San Antonio - Mexico City (in Mexicana); but her questiong went nowhere (again I assume Continental didnt have seats left on the direct flights Houston - Mexico City).

I'm also trying to get some help from our Corporate travel office since this was an "Alternative" Travel thing --instead of me flyling back to Minneapolis, I thought it would have been nice for her to come to Mexico City and spend the weekend here -- as we have done in the past (I've been deployed in Mexico City and will be for a few months)... anyway, I'm expecting here at around noon in the Mexicana flight....

anyone has any more suggestion email addresses either fro Continental or American Airlines ( I am trying to raise the case in both airlines and with our corporate travel folks -not sure that would get anywhere other than travel vouchers -- but it is good to blow some steam considering the ruin part of the weekend)... THanks folks

I find it really hard that an airline employee would use the F word...
