Considering that at one point Frontier lost over $50 Million in 1 quarter
from MKE, they could just not justify the loses and all unprofitable flying has to be eliminated. If it means that MKE to be brought back to relaity so be it. MKE is very difficult to make a profit with due to it's close proximity
to Chicago and their 2 big airports. Just because some flights fill up does not mean that they are making money. I used to live in Sheboygan years ago

I absolutely agree with you A320FAN. It's all about business. I am not asking Frontier to cater to MKE. However, brand loyalty with airlines is a losing proposition for customers in the Milwaukee market. Until there is more stability in the market here, I will shop the lowest cost, fewest hop options regardless of the airline. If that means Frontier, will I fly? Yes. Prior to the two most recent announcements, our household flew Frontier exclusively unless we were leaving the country.

Change of economy, change of industry, change of customer habits.

Frankly, that is by far the best solution for you and your family. Frequent flyer programmes are by design intended to distort the market and undermine normal competitive pressures. When frequent flyer schemes are in place, customers make their purchasing decisions taking into account factors such as how many miles they will receive, rather than considering price and/or service and convenience. Because the majority of miles are racked up by business travellers where companies pick up the tab, and the majority of miles "spent" are spent on purchasing trips and benefits for the personal benefit of the employee. The airlines know this. The design of the schemes is intentionally to distort the market and allow airlines to charge more and provide a lesser service, without the normal penalty of people doing what you intend to do in the future.

Norway has outlawed frequent flyer schemes for domestic travel because of their negative effect on the market. Milwaukee will be better off in the long term if all customers followed your lead. if only Congress and the DOT were as enlightened as Norway, we could get rid of the robber barons of the airline industry and have a genuinely competitive air market.

Hard to believe that people in MKE are still moaning over the loss of their "great" Midwest Airlines. It was a goner long before Frontier entered the picture. And, if the people in MKE had supported Frontier, even in the slightest, they might still be flying more flights, still have a maintenance facility there, still have a large back office presence... ad nauseum. So, blame those in MKE who constantly opted for alternate carriers to teach Frontier a lesson. You reap what you sow!
