We booked & paid for a return flight with Air Asia from Sydney, Australia to Clark, Philippines last May for departure 22nd December. We then bought, using other airlines, connecting flights to Boracay, as well as paying for accommodation and scuba diving courses and looked forward to our holiday.
Last week (end October) we thought we'd book/pay for checked in luggage but our bookings didn't show. Since then, for the last week we've had the run-around from Air Asia. They simply refuse to tell us ANYTHING! Forget trying to reach them on the phone - hopeless! The best we could do was 'live chat' on line (right! wait 40 minutes to connect, then get timed out after 10 mins and do it all over again. And again. And when we did get through to a "customer service" person (sarc) we were told, "Our team will let you know') Eventually I found out through a web search that Air Asia in the Philippines as well as an associated airline, Zest, were in financial difficulties and have cancelled all flights to Clark! The info was dated early September. WHY THE HECK COULDN'T AIR ASIA HAVE THE DECENCY TO LET US KNOW ALMOST TWO MONTHS AGO ?? Answer: They just don't give a ......about their customers and are USELESS! Anyway, it's been an expensive lesson for us with a lot of money lost on bookings. AIR ASIA = CHEAP & NASTY! Be warned. |
