Default Question about filing a lawsuit in US against AF

Hey folks,

Please help me with this. I couldn't board my return flight due to AF not putting my name on a ticket on an AlItalia flight (deadly combo I know), so I had to pay for 2 tickets out of pocket. So far have contacted them via their website, their customer service (ha) desk in Paris, their desk in Dulles, DC, their telephone line in the US and Facebook. Next option is some kind of legal action, and mind you, I only want my money back for now.

Anyone has any ideas on how to go about this? Where should I start? I live outside Washington DC.

Thanks and never fly Air France (but if you are here, you probably know that anyway)
