We were due to fly dublin to bangkok on 11 nov 2021. We had booked a free change of date flight. Hence when thailand government told us our thailand pass would be a few days late we asked qatar if they would give us a free change of date and they agreed to and asked for an extra 2000 euro. They told us that the flight on 13 nov was all but fully booked in business class hence the expensive price. We later discovered that on 13 nov business class was less than half full and despite asking us for 2000 euro to change from business class to business class. Passengers in economy class (because business class bookings were so low) were being offered an upgrade to business class for less than 500 euro.
Qatar did offer a full refund so we accepted the promise of 2600 euro refund and booked an economy ticket on the 13 nov flight. We were told the refund would be issued in about one month. However 11 months later there is still no refund. During the last 2 months qatar in DOHA hang up when i phone ....Qatar in London and Bangkok just do not answer, and we have sent at least 20 e mails to all three offices and no answer has been received
