Suspension of flight from houston to dubai
I, Ashish Bansal am a privileged club member (Silver) with Qatar Airways vide Membership number : 517--9---0.
I have a booking with Qatar Airways vide PNR# U----A where I have completed the first leg of the flight from Delhi to Washington DC on Saturday, July 8th 2017 and have a return flight from Houston to Dubai on July 26th 2017. I have been calling into Qatar regularly to find out the status of the with the return flight Houston to Dubai on July 26th 2017 due to the issue of "Suspension of Flights to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Kingdom of Bahrain”. I am told everytime to call in later with the assurance that there will provide me a solution. I had called in last week and was told that Qatar shall accommodate me on code share airline and that I shall be given a flying date upto a week after my flight date and that for that I shall call in today i.e. July 18th 2017. As required I called in today and was attended by one Mr.Mohammed who was not very helpful, infact was only repetitive, and told me that the only people who can help are the booking agents through who I booked the flight and that Qatar Airways would not be able to do anything about it at the moment and I should call in only about 72 hours before the flight. I would like to point out here that I have been flying Qatar Airways on a very regular basis since the last year alongwith my family and don’t expect such unprofessional treatment. I am on a business trip and each day infact each minute is of importance and is valuable for me and I have to plan everything in advance. I can’t be calling in over and over again and being shunted between Qatar Airways to travel agent for the solution, at the end of the day the carrier i.e. Qatar Airways is responsible for finding a solution for the issue that the passenger is facing and that too as there is no fault of the passenger in this other than of choosing Qatar Airways and ofcourse morally responsible towards the passenger. I would like an immediate solution as I need to plan my further course of travel. 1. I can fly a few days later, i.e. around July 31ST 2017 from Houston, USA to Dubai, UAE so as to resolve the issue. 2. I can fly a few days later, i.e. around July 31ST 2017 from Houston, USA to Delhi, India so as to resolve the issue. 3. I can fly a few days later i.e. around Aug 2nd 2017 from Houston, USA to Madurai, India so as to resolve the issue. 4. I am not looking for a refund, am looking for any of the above solution. I need to have a solution of an alternate flight immediately. I am not looking for a refund as I need to return to Dubai / Delhi / Madurai for work which is of most importance at the moment. Please revert. You can call me on +91.9910087788 or on +1.202.470.0880. Thanks Warm Regards Ashish Bansal |
