Refused use of Approved Car Seat
I purchased tickets on Qatar Airways for my wife and daughter (2 years old) to fly form JFK in New York to Kathmandu, Nepal on Feb 16 2018.
I live in Canada but am close to the US boarder so we flew out of JFK.
At the time of purchase I explained I wanted to use my Car seat on the flight. The car seat is a Transport Canada Approved for aircraft. The seat met Qatar Policy and it was not a problem when boarding the flight at JFK.
But, when they got to Doha, Qatar things changed. The Qatar personnel would not allow the car seat on the second leg of the journey. So we were not allowed to use the seat I had purchased for my daughter so she could travel in her car seat (approved for aircraft).
I am now going back and forth with a 'Customer Service Rep' at Qatar with no luck. They will not re-reimburse me the cost of the seat for the second leg of the trip where we could not use the seat we had purchased.
Not Fair and Not acceptable.
