Airline from Hell - Quick heads up for business travellers...

We recently paid Qatar Airways $24,000 for two business class return flights from Sydney to Dublin. They forced us to fly in economy and refuse to provide a refund.

We were forced to board the aircraft and walk past our empty business class seats and not permitted to sit in them. (can things get worse)
When we arrived in Doha, we were refused entry into the business class lounge because we were unable to produce business class boarding passes.

All monies were paid to Qatar Airways however they placed us on a Qantas flight from Sydney to Brisbane to link up with our international connection. Qantas being Qantas managed to get us into Brisbane 2 hours late, resulting in us missing our international connection.

We were then bumped unto the same Qatar Airways flight the following night, costing us a day off our trip and causing us to miss important meetings in Ireland, which incidentally, Qatar couldn't give a damn about !!!
When we checked in Qatar Airways advised that there were business class seats available, however, refused to let us have them, even though we'd paid $24k for them !!!

The reason reason provided by Qatar Airways was because we checked in with Qantas initially who had checked us all the way through to Dublin and Qatar were unable to access the Qantas system and release the business class seats to us.
As you can appreciate, this caused a major scene at the Qatar Airways check in desk and after long heated arguments with Qatar, their ultimatum was, take the economy seats or we'll remove you from the flight!

Note; Another major concern, Qatar Airways have no business class lounges in Sydney or Dublin, which means you're getting much less value for your money, something they conveniently neglect to share with customers !!!

We had this horrendous experience with Qatar Airways in May/June this year, they owe us thousands of dollars and refuse to provide a refund. They don't even have the courtesy to acknowledge emails or calls ... This is NOT a reputable airline, Avoid at all costs !!!
