Lost luggage
On a recent holiday I flew American Airlines twice, they are the worst airline I have ever flown. They lost my luggage on BOTH occassions. My family of four which includes an 8 year old and a 3 year old were allocated separate seats on the plane and the flight attendant made NO EFFORT to try and get us seated together, even after my three year old son started crying. Our first lot of lost luggage arrived more than 24hrs later. We were left with out of pocket expenses to which American airlines provided NO compensation. Indeed, it took them almost a month to respond to the complaint. After losing our bags for the second time, they didn't even respond to our complaint. Finally, after more than two months, they sent a 'free airline coupon'... all the way to Australia, what good is that? They don't run flights in Australia. The baggage service personel were rude and complacent and kept us waiting for more than an hour, not the sort of thing you want at 2:00am in the morning with two young children, crying because they had lost their toys and clothes again. I would not recommend American Airlines to anyone, in fact I now actively discourage people from flying with them!
