I had work in Kona so my company flew us from LAX. Arrive at airport at 7 am for a 9 am flight. Flight delayed until 10:30 because of mechanical. We line up at 10, no crew. Delayed again. Board at 10:30. Sit in plane at gate for an hour before they tell us there is a catering issue. Tell us we can deplane if we'd like. Catering comes to remove expired food. Another hour later new catering shows up.
Flight pushes back at 12:30 when we were supposed to at 9.
On the flight, we get free movies. (Yay?) as an apology (not even close).
Service begins - food that was delivered which cause 2.5 hr delay was for first class only. Repeated announcements of "limited" service items in coach.
So flight was delayed for 300 people for the 28 in 1st class. No apologies other than free movies I slept through.
Arrived here for work 3.5 hrs late, costing me and my company $ and time in Kona, rescheduling and adjusting to meet our deadlines.
Now, back at the airport 2 days later. Flight scheduled 1 pm. Pushed back to 3:30 because the EXACT SAME TIME DELAY FOR THE EXACT SAME FLIGHT coming from LAX I was delayed on on Thursday.
