I paid $25 to AA to check my bag on a non-stop flight. It got lost, well not exactly lost, delayed. It arrived 36 hours later. When I asked for my $25 back they said it arrived at its destination so no refund was due. When I went on to ask to speak to a supervisor and get information on lodging a complaint I was brushed off. If someone collects a fee for a service, they should provide the expected service. Any ideas with whom I could lodge a complaint and get my $25 back?

Did you claim for any losses related to the delay?

The only airline that has a baggage guarantee is Alaska Airlines and even they do not refund the checked bag fee:
