Flight 597 MN to Ft Lauderdale on 2/26 departed more than 5 hours late due to maintenance problems,leaving passengers sitting and wondering what's happening. At 3am with passengers sitting on the plane, maintenance guys were in the cockpit breaking out maintenance manuals. The flight that should have left at 1:15 am finally left at 6:30am. What does customer service say? They send a form email saying that they cannot release information. No 'we regret...', or 'we will investigate'. Must be a common problem with Spirit if they have a form to send out when someone complains or even asks why there was a delay. Once they have your money, they just want you to go away.
