I booked a flight of AirAsia. I don't know how the double payment happened. When I filled out the form for the same, they sent me a mail saying that they have received the complaint and will process the same. But, even after 8 (6 business days) days there was no progress so, I called the customer care and asked them. They told me that it takes 5 business days to look whether the request is valid or not and another 30 business days to refund the amount. It was only after this call that I got a mail asking for my bank account details.
First of all they didn't send me the mail earlier.
Secondly, how can an airline take so many days even after validating the request. Do they "ship" the money to the city and someone goes to deposit the money to the account. Even an international transfer takes 2-3 business days whereas, they need 30 business days.
They have very dissatisfying customer service. I suggest everyone not to book a flight of AirAsia if you have a choice.
