Flight was delayed over 3 hours and then canceled. United
lied about the cause of the delay, stating it was weather related so no hotel voucher. The facts are 1) Waited on the runway for 2 hours, pilot said we were cleared to fly but he ran out of fuel and had to return to gate to refuel. Therefore flight could have departed that night. 2) Called United from airport and was told by Ms. Miller (out of Florida) that the flight status appeared on her computer as delay, delay....gate return, and she said we were therefore entitled to free hotel. 3) United Customer care rep at airports reason for not giving compensation, Sade (sp?) stated "Look at all the people, if we gave hotel vouchers we would be broke" 4) Supervisor at the airport refused any support for us but gave others on same flight (example family in seat 16C and 16d) vouchers for free hotels. How does United decide who gets the voucher? What is the basis for some getting compensation while others do not? United refuses to compensate us....do yourself a favor and avoid this airline, it is rated worst in Customer Service |
