I had rescheduled a booking with particulars as follows:
- Travel Date- 1 sep 2012 - Origin- New Delhi, Destination: New York (JFK) - Transaction Date- 12 August 2012 I had made the booking on phone and the amount was deducted thrice instead of a single transaction by Etihad's system. I have been following up for a refund almost on a daily basis for the past 15 days with assurances that it will be processed in 2 days. I had sent all the required information including bank statement showing multiple deductions. A total of ($693*2) $1386 is to be refunded. I have many auto payments scheduled on this particular bank account and all of them will bounce cause of paucity of funds . I am in India right now and will not be replenish this account in US immediately. In-spite of daily follow-up from my side- I just keep getting the same response that there are technical issues and the agents cant access their emails!!! It looks like Etihad is in no mood to refund this and this might need to go to a consumer court. I would just want to fly-back once and then avoid this airline! |
