Thumbs up Please welcome our new Moderator: jimworcs

Hello Folks,

We have grown considerably in the past few years and it is about time we had a Moderator here at AirlineComplaints.org, so please join us in welcoming jimworcs as our Moderator.

He is a long-time member of this site and one of its most active members (if not the most active member), so he's certainly earned it.

Welcome aboard, Jim!

Regards,

The AirlineComplaints.org Team

Might want to pick someone who doesn't have a history of insulting other members.

Posters? I think we know it was a single crazy poster, and nothing you said was unwarranted. I would have stuck with it and just laughed at the poster like everybody else was.

No, in fact it was more than one...but that particular exchange; which related to the nut who complained about Jet2, was the straw that broke the camels back. I felt that the moderator title meant that I couldn't be as direct or frank as I like to be and sometimes held back a bit. In the Jet2 case, the OP complained about me to the owners of the site and they addressed the issue with me. I think in many ways I actually agreed with the OP that people might expect the moderator to be a bit more impartial and supportive, but I didn't want to take on that role. That is the reason I quit... but I still like the site and feel that the owners were supportive of me, but I just didn't want to feel inhibited in any way from expressing my opinion.
