To who it may concern
we booked on Lufthansa lh9543 on the 1st September 2016, when we arrived at OR Tambo we noticed that we were booked on sa9264. This is apparently normal procedure as they are contracted out to sa. What is not normal is that we were never notified as we had no desire to fly sa. Our flight was then delayed by 2 hours which then became 4 hours, then it was cancelled to the next day. We stayed overnight at garden court and left the next morning only. When we arrived in Munich we had no connecting flight to Rome and had to stay overnight again...our trip to Rome (which was only a week) was cut short by almost 2 days. So we paid a lot of money to see Rome and we also only had a limited time off from work so could not extend our stay in Rome. This is really a rip-off and we are not in a position to go to Rome again as our rand/euro exchange is not the best. I feel that Lufthansa does not have our best interests at heart and feel that they should re-imburse us. We were 2 couples that were really looking forward to a relaxing holiday that became a complete rush to try and see what we had planned. That did not work out.
