Default Lesson Learned

We were at the airport 2 and a half hours before our flight. The lines spread across the width of the terminal into the street because a flight to Calgary was canceled (due to the airport shooting in Florida). Everybody in line was getting extra time at the ticket counter. It took so long, we were not allowed to board our flight to Vancouver. The counter agent told us to call corporate, they will put us on the next flight.

But they didn't.
Because corporate policy says: change fees $200.00 each plus another $1,200.00
