Default Ruined Trip

I had to be in Boston for one week for personal and professional things, all the stuffs I needed to use where in the only suitcase I had, suitcase that got disappeared on August 2nd for more than 24 hrs, because of the dilated flight they made took from Guatemala to Miami, where I lost the connection flight to Boston and waited for more than 3 hrs. Once i arrived in Boston I had TO SPENT MONEY, EXTRA MONEY that I didnt plan to spend on buying my personal things which Im gonna specify so you can understand how serious it was because i dont live in the USA I had no belongings at all, I bought underwear, toothpaste, toothbrush, pants, a sweater, dresses that i needed for a conferences i had the next day I arrived. Because I wasn't there to stay in a hotel the whole time; I got there with limited time of ONE WEEK to do all I planned to do counting with my personal stuffs!. I didnt just spend money I spent half of my time calling to check on my luggage and last time I called on sunday night August 3rd, the lady who assisted me told me that all i needed to do in order for me to get a refund for all I bought during the time I didnt have my bag was to bring all the receipts to the airport the day of my departure. Im guessing you record all those calls so I hope you can check and give your employees a better training on how give instructions, because the day of my departure August 11th the people of the claim department in the airport told that there was nothing saying on the computer about my refund and that the person who assisted me on the phone had to asked the total amount I spend and put on the system which she didnt so they I had me calling the 1-800 number luggage service 15mins before my flight! and the lady who talked to me couldnt halp me at all. She said my case was closed since I got my bag already.
Well when I got back in Guatemala and thought that all was over I found myself looking for my luggage once again! I mean after you guys didnt want to pay me all I UNNECESSARILY spent, YOU GUYS PUT MY LUGGAGE IN A DIFFERENT AIRPLANE ONE MORE TIME! and not being that enough now that you finally found it i have to go to the airport and pick up like is my fault!
And when i finnally got my baggage its damage and AA dont wanna refund my money!

DO YOU REALLY THINK I ENJONYED MY TRIP??
YOU THINK I ENJOYED FLYING WITH AMERICAN AIRLINES??
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT??? BECAUSE I WON'T STOP UNTILL YOU DO NOTHING. AND IF I HAD TO GO TO AGENCY AND SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER I'L DO IT .

Default About bags

You are allowed to carry on one bag up to 45 linear inches as well as a small personal bag. That is more than enough room for toothpaste, underwear and other personal items.

I will never figure out why passengers check the important things not realizing that sometimes the bag will not make it on schedule. Sometimes the bag falls off the belt. Other times the tag gets caught in a belt then it gets damaged. Those types of damages are covered if it is reported within 48 hours. You will be surprised how many people show up claiming damage to a bag and they flew a long time ago. One can't expect us to just replace luggage based on someone's word.

Most people don't fill in the ID card attached the side of the bag. Can you imagine how hard it is to find the owner if the tag is missing and the card is not filled out? I am sorry you had to go through that. We encourage you to carry on what fits.
