AA's flight 120 (JFK to Paris 9:35 pm departure) was abrubtly cancelled on December 28 without any AA personnell near the gate and stranded passengers (including many non-English speaking French) were left to wander about without any assistance, or worse, nasty or indifferent treatment from the animals employed by AA. In order to reschedule and obtain vouchers for hotel and meals, we were forced to wait on a line for almost 4 hours, watching all other passengers bound for other hopeless flights were served, while numerous AA attendants left and went home, leaving only 4 personnell to deal with the 100 plus Paris bound passengers. According to various accounts, some from AA employees, pilots were striking, while other accounts reported aircraft problems. After the 4 hour wait on line, we were given vouchers for the dump near JFK known as the Ramada JFK, cockroach infested, linens stained, and perhaps even more rude and surly employees than AA, if that's possible. Some Paris bound passengers desperate to get back to France took AA's offer for a late nite flight to London, only to sit on the tarmac for hours and then return to the terminal at 5o a.m. If this was in fact a walk out by pilots, they should be fired immediately! Bring back Reagan from the dead!
