Possible Scam?
Last month I booked a flight for business from Dublin to Bucharest using the online platform of Turkish Airlines. As it was a business trip I requested a receipt in the name of my company. When I arrived at check in (no online check in) I discovered that somehow the platform had replaced my first name on the ticket with that of my company . Even though the ticket was bought with a credit card bearing my name the company refused to let me use this ticket and obliged me to buy a new ticket at double the price if I was to make my meeting. I filled in the reclaim forms and Turkish Airlines have decided to do nothing. It seems part of their practice to have their clients pay for supposed mistakes of their online booking platforms. I wonder if this is a deliberate ploy.... they have refused to refund either ticket and are currently ignoring my correspondence in hope that I go away. Please be very careful before booking with this company
