Used their app to upgrade- totally got fleeced
Was flying back from Quito to Houston, offered $129 upgrade on their app. Accepted but didn't receive a receipt. When I returned home (their service btw was pretty pathetic didnt' even get offered any food and the seat did not recline fully) charged $729 USD instead. Called numerous times, put on hold for hours. Transferred from agent to agent. Two agents told me 'there must be a problem with the app' but in the end said i had to send an online complaint. They then took a week and sent a form letter saying it was refused because "i used the ticket". Called back again, same go-around and at one point one clerk hung up on me because i was getting angry and she didn't want to talk to me. Again said i had to file a customer complaint online to 'customer care' this time. Now one month later and didn't even give me a refusal. Just ...nothing. I have to say I have traveled all over the world and had the usual issues of canceled flights, lost baggage etc. Never have I been treated so shabbily by any company much less any airline. I refuse to travel with them ever again. Not worth their 'deals'.
